Going on the offensive.
Sometimes you have to go on the offensive to take the field. It’s just a matter of doing it the right way. In this race, we faced defeat if our opponent, who had made a statement on the Pledge of Allegiance at stark odds with the values of the district, did not drop in the polls.
Using a well-known sticker image from Whataburger, John Wray’s “Indivisible” mailing drew a strong, unforgettable contrast with the opponent’s unpopular values. As a result, undecided voters broke our way 5 to 1 and sealed the fate of the race with a 6-point victory.
